WELCOME TO "THE SANCTUARY"

A PLACE TO "BE … AND BECOME"!

[[**This online "Sanctuary" will be a shelter, a place for persons who seek a place to just "be ..", (especially serving those who are transitioning from domestic violence, or other recovery needs, or perhaps from personal or national disasters such as displacement from homes, unemployment, etc. .). The link to the relaxing, inspiring or empowering resources for the online Sanctuary will be developed and placed here Please check in occasionally to see what we're adding here as sanctuary place "to be…" for all. **]]

YOU may see the beginning stages of the physical "Sanctuary Home and Gardens" in Creighton, NE. as we originally planned it. However, we have had to yield to practicality that it just could not be, right here and now for a variety of reasons too many to "fight". The initial gardens have been planted. Our planned "welcome" which was geared primarily to clients in a physical location may still provide some guidelines as to how such a sanctuary should function.

The following Facebook address: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2036970&id=1310918119&l=fbe0aaf4cc shows our initial plans, (reluctantly, although these are not to be, we will still be adding content here online to contribute to personal "sanctuary space".

WELCOME TO "THE SANCTUARY"

A PLACE TO "BE …."
We especially welcome women and children who are serious about being in a gentle, gentle, gentle place where:

* Only gentleness and compassion need be spoken here;
* A Place of refuge and rest from insults and assaults to body, mind or spirit;
* A Place where one can gain quiet attunement with dignity of person, and peaceful and joyful days and nights;
* A Place of thoughtful reflection on "betterways" to "be..";
* A Place to learn how to resolve conflicts and to live that resolution of conflict;
* A Place where one can seek solutions to their life challenges in the companionship of other friendly persons who are willing to share their experience, strength and hope;
* A Place where one can watch TV,
* read materials from the supportive materials in the library,
* be creative in the kitchen and gardens;
* participate in learning experiences with volunteer facilitators or instructors;
* take a walk in the garden, or participate in the work of The Sanctuary Gardens,
* be creative with sewing projects,
* participate in daily discussion groups.
